The Public Sector Program was launched in 2025 to support hard-to-reach, disadvantaged, and underserved public agencies in Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties. By building trusted relationships with public agency staff and elected officials, the program prioritizes resiliency while facilitating energy efficiency, demand response, and electrification projects, fostering knowledge transfer and broader adoption of clean energy solutions.

The program is designed to support participants through their unique energy and resiliency journey by developing meaningful relationships with staff and providing technical support. The program also enhances agency capacity and increases readiness to pursue external funding and financing opportunities, including existing IOU Energy Efficiency and Demand Response programs, as well as state and federal grant opportunities.
